It has been a pleasure to watch Rhea Ripley evolve, witnessing her slowly and steadily become one of the most entertaining, dominant Superstars in WWE. On January 28th, she entered the 2023 Royal Rumble match as entrant #1, outlasting 29 other competitors to become its winner.
A former NXT Women’s Champion and RAW Women’s Champion, The Rip (as Booker T and Brad Gilmore refer to her) has an opportunity to become a 3-time World Champion at WrestleMania 39.
“American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes is also a pleasure to watch. He won the men’s Rumble match on the 28th which set the stage for him to challenge the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania. Cody’s journey from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) back to WWE has been to claim the prize that eluded his brother Dustin Rhodes and his father, the late great “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.
During Cody’s adventures outside WWE, he was able to reign as NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, Impact Wrestling World Champion, Ring of Honor World Champion, and become a 3-time TNT Champion.
